How to do: A 3 way ponytail.

Monday, 28 April 2014

Easter is pretty much over which means that it's time to go back to school/college/uni. If you are like me and that first day back is a killer to get out of bed, (i.e hitting the snooze button until you only have 15 minutes to get ready) then I am going to show you a hairstyle that will take you no longer than 5 minutes and will actually look like you have spent time on it.

So you're panicking because you're going to be late and are running out of time to get ready and you currently look like something that has been plugged into an electric socket. First thing if your hair is looking a little greasy is to spray some dry shampoo through the roots. If you have a natural curl to your hair like mine then I would recommend just leaving your hair as it is and running your fingers through it. If not just give it a brush out and spray with the VO5 Tame and shine spray. That will just settle any frizz and add some texture back to the hair. Then all you want to do is tie your hair back section by section until you have three separate ponytails and secure with either a thin bobble or a little elastic band so that it looks like this.

Now all that you need to do is take the top section and split your hair in half and feed the pony tail through the middle. This creates a cute little twist and if you want a tighter twist just feed it through the middle again. Then take the second section and do the same, feed any extra hair left from the first ponytail through that section as well as the second ponytail. Repeat with the third section and you will be left with something like this.

Then all that is left to do is pull the hair so its tightly in place and just making sure that the ponytails are evenly spaced out down the back of your head. And then you're finished. You can secure it a little more with hairspray if you like but I think it is a secure enough style to wear all day. It's just a different take on a normal ponytail, almost the same style as a french braid but without as much effort, and also if your hair is longer it can make it look a lot fuller. When doing this particular hairstyle you can choose to leave it messy or brush out your ponytail once it is complete which is what I have done.

That's all for now! Hope you all have an awesome start to the new term and I will be back again soon!
