A quick make-up/skin care review.

Hello again! This post is just going to be a short and snappy update on some things that I have recently purchased and been testing. My makeup collection was looking a little boring so a well needed trip to Boots/Superdrug was in order. Also whilst I was there I came across a couple of skincare items I thought would be useful to try out.

1) First thing I picked up was the Dove Body Moisturiser with a gradual self-tanner. I don't particularly hate having pale skin but sometimes it's nice to have a warm glow to your body. I picked up medium to dark skin colour which I only realised when I first put it on, but after I had showered morning after it didn't look too tango-ed. I think this is a really lovely product and unlike most moisturisers with self tan in it, the smell of fake tan isn't overpowering. I'm actually allergic to fake tan so if you are like me this product will come in very handy during summer.

2) Next Is the Soap and Glory, Flake away scrub. It only bought a travel size just so I could test it out because my skin can be sensitive to scrubs. However, this is a really gentle but effective scrub and it smells gorgeous, just like everything by Soap and Glory. I don't even know if they do these in a bigger tub but if they do it is a definite purchase.

3) This excited me a lot! I have been looking to purchase gel liner for a while now and this new Scandal Eyes gel liner from Rimmel just jumped straight out at me so I obviously had to give it a go. Now that I've been using it I'm not as in love with it as I thought I would be. Its really easy to apply and has a good bold colour to it but it doesn't stay on for that long, and with eyeliner I like it to be there all day. I have found myself diverting back to the Scandal Eyes liquid liner just because its quicker and I know it will stay put.

4) Rimmel products were buy one get the second 50% so as I was looking I spotted something I'd seen a few people already talking about and that is the new Rimmel Stay Matte Primer. Again this is another thing I haven't been impressed by. It is a very subtle primer and to look at you wouldn't necessarily know was there or not which in my opinion is a pointless product. If you want a primer that is really going to work I think it's best to spend more money on a high end brand and get a fantastic primer that will also last long.

5) I could not go into Superdrug and not go to the MUA section. I've always seen people using cream blusher and it has always been a no go area for me so I thought seen as it was only £1 I would give the MUA Cream Blusher in the colour Dolly a go. When I first used it I was shy to put a lot on and thought that it wasn't very good. But now I have warmed to the product I really love it. The colour is so nice and pigmented and it blends so easily into the skin. Well worth £1 if you ask me!

6) Lastly and also from the MUA counter I picked up the Undressed Eye Palette. I have had the Heaven and Earth palette for a while now and the colours are so beautiful. The colours on this pallet are similar but there are also some matte shades which aren't on Heaven and Earth and some really lovely deep blues. My safe zone for eye shadows are nudes and pinks so i know I am going to get plenty of wear out of this pallet.

So thats all from my purchases, if you have anything you have recently bought and are loving or hating then I would love to know and I shall be back soon!
